After having a healthy breakfast in the morning, will start our journey towards to Leh. As you pass through the Lamayuru Village to reach the monastery, experience a change in the landscape that appears to have a moon-like surface. Take a small stopover at the Indus Sangam Viewpoint to watch the confluence of Zanskar and Indus Rivers. Visit Magnetic Hill, a road that defies the law of gravity. You can also enjoy delicious langar at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and know the story behind the construction of this gurudwara by the army. Learn about Indo-Pak Warriors and martyrs at the world-famous Hall of Fame. Reach Leh and rest for the day, check in to leh hotel and have Dinner, overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
Have a mouth-watering breakfast at the hotel and then will start todays sightseeing tour of Leh. Start with a visit to the popular Shanti Stupa that was built to commemorate 2500 years of Buddhism and offers amazing sunset and panoramic views of the city from the clifftop. Visit the Leh Palace which was built in the 17th century that will give you an insight into the bygone golden era of Leh. Later we'll visit the local Leh Market to buy some Tibetan handicrafts or go cafe hopping to try the delicious Ladakhi cuisine. Return back to the hotel for a lip-smacking dinner. After breakfast in the morning, head to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La(Highest motorable road at 5359 mt). Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Check in to the hotel and visit the Sand Dunes (cold deserts of India), take a camel safari (self-paid). Come back to the hotel by evening, have dinner and sleep overnight.
After breakfast check out, start your journey to the famous Pangong Tso via the Agam and Shyok villages. Pangong Tso which is perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia changes its color 4 – 5 times a day. The Pangong Lake or “lake of the great hollow” is considered as the largest lake in Asia. The water is clearer though salty. The Crystal-clear salty water shines in many shades of blue depending upon its depth. It literally changes shades with sunlight. With a backdrop of mountains of various hues and colors, it is a sight for the Gods. At an elevation of 4300 meters, the air is cool even in summers at Ladakh. Pangong Lake is about 4 km wide on average and at least 136 Km long. The extent of the known portion is, therefore, upwards of 250 square miles (400 sq. km) Reach Pangong Lake & check in to the campsite and Dinner & sleep overnight.
After breakfast, head back to Leh. Enroute visit Chang-La, the 2nd highest motorable road in the world at 5350 m. Reach by evening time and explore the local market/cafe’s. Shop something for your friends/relatives back home. Come back to the hotel by evening and have dinner and sleep overnight.
After having a delicious breakfast in the morning at leh hotel, will start our journey to Sarchu. En route, will be witnessing the beauty of the barren lands stretched faraway bordered by the lofty Himalayas. Take a photo stop on the More Plains where a large stretch of green land is bordered by the mighty Himalayas on all sides. Our next stopover would be Lachung La Pass, yet another high mountain pass in the region. Enjoy the ride through Gata Loops which is a series of 21 hairpin bends that leads to the top of one of the highest motorable passes in the Ladakh region, Nakee La Pass. Upon reaching Sarchu, take a rest for some time. In the evening, sit around the bonfire under the sky full of stars as you enjoy your dinner at the campsite. Overnight will stay at a campsite near Sarchu.
In the morning, post breakfast, start your return journey to Manali. Enjoy a series of hairpin bends as you pass through the scenic mountain roads.
