Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian National Park, located at a height in West Himalaya. It is renowned for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and the variety of flora found there. It is located in Uttarakhand state. This richly diverse area is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bear, snow leopard, brown bear and blue sheep. The gentle landscape of the Valley of Flowers National Park complements the rugged mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi National Park to the east. Together they encompass a unique transition zone between the mountain ranges of the Zanskar and Great Himalaya. The park stretches over an expanse of 87.50 km2. Both parks are encompassed in the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve (223,674 ha) which is further surrounded by a buffer zone (5,148.57 km2). This Reserve is in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves since 2004. The Valley of Flowers is a high-altitude Himalayan valley that has been acknowledged by renowned mountaineers and botanists in literature for over a century. Departure from delhi to haridwar in night around 10-11 PM, Overnight journey…
Departure from delhi to Rishikesh in early Morning around 5-6 AM, Reached Rishikesh in afternoon. Check in to Hotel & Rest, After that in evening you can explore local sightseeing of rishikesh, laxman jhula, ram jhula ect. have dinner and overnight at Rishikesh.
After Breakfast, up hill drive from Rishikesh to Joshimath. Along the way, pass Devaprayag to witness the holy confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers to form the River Ganges. Arrive at Joshimath, Check in at Hotel, explore local at your own or rest in hotel, have dinner & overnight stay.
After Breakfast, Drive proceed to Govindghat. Start trek from Govindghat to Ghangria. Ghangaria is a small village on the way to Hemkund Sahib, a popular pilgrimage site for Sikhs which is about 6 km from here and the Valley of Flowers, a national park known for its variety of flowers about 3 km from here. After reching ghangria check in to home stay/ camps, explore local at your own. overnight at Ghangria.
After Breakfast, Trek to Valley of Flowers. This day’s trip take us into the Valley of Flowers. The moment you enter the valley, you have a sweeping view of it’s vast expanse covered in a layer of flowers. Flowers, leaves, buds of various shapes, sizes, colours all grow together here. In the entirety of the season of Valley of Flowers, the flowers you see are never the same. The blooming of these alpine flowers come in waves. The first set of wildflowers come in the beginning of monsoon in July, and then in August, and then changes in relatively drier September..You are sure to see Meadow Geranium, Snake Foil, Hooked Stick Seed, Himalayan Rose, Blue Poppy, River Anemone, White Leaf Hog Foot and Dog Flower. No wonder this valley is a botanist dreamland.Explore the valley and trek back to the Govindghat for the night stay at hotel/ camps.
After Breakfast, Check out from Hotel and Drive from Govindghat to Rishikesh, Reached rishikesh at evening (6-7 PM). Check in at hotel & Have dinner & Overnight stay.
