OVERVIEW

The deity Surkanda Devi temple standing tall amidst the clouds among the scintillating snow-filled landscape is a beauty in itself. This temple is perched on a hill at an altitude of about 2756mts giving a 360-degree panoramic view of the Himalayan ranges. The view around the temple mesmerizes and captivates one’s senses. This temple is one among the 18 maha Shakthi peethas and is dedicated to the goddess Sati and has a prominent mythological significance. The temple is surrounded by dense forests thereby enhancing the panorama. The marvel architecture of the temple summates with the scenic beauty of the place.
